Yes it was a long ride but well worth it since we just meandered around. Didn't have to make any destination at any particular day. Except Sturgis we rode a little over 10 hours to get there on the day our reservation started. Stayed at Lemphere campground. I bought the Goldwing just for this trip I have a 2012 road glide ultra too My friend took his ultra classic and felt beat up after every days ride. Wifes Yamaha 1100 was very comfortable for her too.
The heated grips and seat along with the flaps that direct the heat up your feet and legs was nice in Montana . It was 37° the morning we left . Wife has heated gear too.

Was also nice sitting in Pheonix traffic without the heat coming off the engine
