Well turns of both of those caps are plastic.
Destroyed the "end cap" as I didnt have anything that will work - will have to see if I can find something in plumbing that will work to replace.
Got the retaining nut off.
Also got the other plastic hex cap off .... used a die thread and a socket.

But looks like this rack unlike the ones I saw on youtube doesnt seperate from the rack as easy ....... was losing light ......... ill play more tomorrow ...... and get a game plan to either reassemble as core .... or go with the seal kit.
