327 question

Ok so I'm talking with a guy who runs derby cars and he has a 327 that he claims spins to 8,000 rpm and has 700 hp, full roller setup, vortex 208 ex 280 int heads, I'm not sure of the claimed torque numbers. He said it only runs for 20 minutes at a time, 30 max and never gets above 130°. Is this guy just trying to blow smoke or can a 327 actually pull off those kinds of numbers. I've never seen one that could pull over 500hp. Pictured is the motor
