Help with horn button size

I recently installed a steering column that I pulled from a truck a few years ago. I installed it in my 64 c10 and recently decided to add the horn button and it did not fit. The standard button appears to small. I have two other steering wheels and the standard button fits on both of them. The wheel on my truck has a nice feel and it feels smaller than the other two I have. the other two are thicker and heavier. Could this wheel be a deluxe wheel and need the deluxe button? Are the deluxe wheels thinner? its the same diameter but feels thinner.
