Need some help with water pumps?

I finally got my new goodwrench 350 into my 72 Jimmy and all was going pretty well until I ran into several problems, one of which was the new water pump I bought is shorter than my last one, I know this because the alt bracket does not line up. It looks like it might work with some sort of spacer but that doesn't seem like a good idea. what water pump do i need to make this work?
