I've used -6 SS braided lines a number of times. Trans cooler and fuel lines. Never had a failure. If you go that direction make sure the trans fittings are correct for the trans. I haven't used a 2004R but on 4L60E's they use a specific adapter with straight threads and washer not NPT.
