Steering Column Placement

I recently got a rebuilt non-tilt floor shift steering column from Randy500 to install as a part of my front end swap. I figured now was the best time so the entire steering system was solid.

I installed it without issue, except for this one small detail. There are two “nubs” on the column that look like they sit in the two holes on the bracket on the firewall, but I can’t get those “nubs” to sit within that bracket. It looks like the go almost all the way, but won’t seat in there. I can’t get the column to go any further into the truck. It may be solved by someone simply posting a picture of this area on their truck.

Ignore the hose clamp. My stock strap was broken and this was the next best thing I had.

Thank you in advance!
