Here is one for ya. Maybe you have a solution
I've got a 65 c10 stepside. I thought the original headlight were too dim in sorts so I put in some halo h4 conversion lights from a newer jeep. They look amazing (when they are lit and the problem arises) They work great for about 10-15 min then just shut off. Halo's still are haloing but the H4 bulbs went/go dark. I shut em off for about 3-5-10 min and they work great again for about the same time. What do you think about that? I was thinking they are needing relays. I have relays on my elect. water pump, elect. fan, elect. fuel pump and I dont have any issues with them and I have the elect. fan wired directly to the ignition so it is on always. I didn't have any of the other electric stuff I.E fan.w/p or f/p when I did the install on the lights and they work just fine hence me leaning towards a relay. What do you think because I am still scratching my head on this one. (along with turn signal and both brake lights at the same time not working in the rear out of nowhere but one thing at a time as they say) When it happened or was happening I didn't have any tools with me so I couldn't troubleshoot then a motorcycle accident happened and the truck sat outside for a couple years with no wind in my sail to work on it then, I went hog wild, I went twin turbo, intercooler, blow thru carb, ect ect ( and that is another f&*k story all together and meant for another post. AHHH.............. the joys of having a cool looking old ride never seem to be.....or get dull for that matter. You know, I was just thinking. If everyone knew what we went/go thru to have one of these sweet old gems.............I think a lot of em would turn the other way and run. lol
