Some guy from overseas paying big money for these trucks.

I know a guy up the road from me who has been flipping these old trucks for years. He usually finds one sitting down and buys it for a few hundred dollars then get it running and sell it for a few hundred in profit. His brother told me a guy from Switzerland or Sweden came to his house to look at one he had for sale. The truck was probably worth around $1500 around here. The guy gave him $4000 for it no questions asked. The guy look and saw another truck not running and gave him $4000 for that one also. He then saw some pure junk parts trucks sitting out back and bought them. When it was all said and done the guy spent over $20,000 on mostly junk.
His brother wasn't sure exactly which country but the guy was shipping them overseas. Has anyone else heard of this happening?
