How to remove paint/dye on plastic
After trying to find a pair of correct 1972 Dark Saddle door panels for my Cheyenne with no success, I dyed a pair of green panels and unfortunately, every scratch is glaring with that bright green underneath. After buying 3-4 sets of panels, I finally was able to buy a pair of original Dark Saddle panels. They were painted/dyed a light tan/yellow on top of a black/ brown color. I called the SEM tech line and was told to use Denatured Alcohol to remove paint/dye from plastic. It works!
