1970 C10 Phase II Summary

Posting a summary of where I am with my truck restoration / upgrade phase II (completed in fall 2020). Wanted to upgrade the 350 engine to a 383 stroker. Fortunately I found a local racing enthusiast (Hooper's Racing) who took my 350 as a trade in towards a 383 he was due to finish at the end of summer 2020. He used a mild Competition cam and a 650 CFM 4 bbl Edelbrock carburetor. I got Speedway Motors Rams Horn manifolds that I painted with VHT silver paint. I had the transmission rebuilt when the engine was out for the swap. That's when I found out the transmission was a heavy duty 375 turbo and that explained the need for a speedometer ratio adapter from PATC to govern / correct the doubled speedometer speed. My new engine buddy Dave Hooper had the trans guy add a 1500 - 2500 stall converter. We also spray painted the engine bay when the engine was out. Pictures below - five years of work - we like where we are and we're starting to get some attention at local car shows!
