Even though it never gets cold enough here to crack a block, every year when we return from the last lake trip, all of the plugs come out of the block and drive. I fill it with the same pink RV / Toilet antifreeze. Doesn't hurt the lake and helps lube the impeller for the first start of the next season.

Had a boss that didn't believe in pulling the plugs at the end of the season. Had the boat in a heated garage at their summer place. One year they lost power during a freeze and didn't find out until the first lake trip the next season that not only did the block crack but so did the ex manifolds and the V drive case. Ruined an otherwise good vacation and cost 10k to fix. That was 20+ years ago. Cant imagine what that would cost now.

Back to Texas. I'd be worried about all of the iron out there on job sites, farms ect. Tractors, excavators, graders and the like. Hope the damage is minimal if any for all of you.
