Talking Dakota digital SEN-01-4160 mounted behind stock speedo?

I have a Dakota Digital SEN-01-4160 cable driven 8000 ppm on my 72K10
Running a 4L60e behind a 6.0 LQ4...
Current setup is pulse unit attached to the 205 transfer case and the Speedo cable attached to it. Has anyone mounted one inside the cab behind the stock speedo? Or are the cable threads different?
Trying to keep it dry..
