Sorry to hear the existing 18" wheels won't clear the Camaro front brakes. Those look just plain evil on there.
The newer Camaro bolt pattern is different too since they are not 5 on 4-3/4 like the same model years of Corvette use. This wheel change will allow you to use wheels that match the bolt pattern of the bearing hubs of the Camaro parts instead of needing adapters.
