Steering Column Swap Question

My '64 was originally a 6cyl/3spd column shifted truck. The truck will now have a column shifted auto most likely using the OE wiring as it's not in hacked shape from what I remember.

The column was a swap meet purchase & is believed to be a tilt unit from the 67-72 era as it had/has no provision for the ignition switch. I'll need to incorporate a Neutral Safety switch & figured it's worth asking others that have traveled the path for their input.

Any insights from your experiences that might prove helpful?

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
