Any advice concerning suspension swap?

I have a 68 GMC 3/4t LWB that rides like a tank! I recently picked up a 70 1/2t LWB frame that has a slightly bent frame in the front. My plan is to swap the front springs then remove the crossmembers and other attachments including the coil spring/trailing arm setup and install onto my frame. My plan is to use all new grade 8 hardware to replace the rivets.

Any tips for this type of swap? Has anyone else gone thru this swap?
