Need engine ID help
So looking to buy a 235 from a guy. It casting number of 836233 which puts it to a 55-57 engine. He said it came from a 57.
The distributer plate showed 82677. was expecting more letters. So my assumption is that this was a 57 engine but a warranty or new block recast of August 26 1977. I was hoping to identify it had hydrolic lifters but can't right now. Any ideas, input, or thought to confirm this? |
