Two possibilities: 1] Cheezy Chinese copy of a real fuel pump, but made with cheapest possible components [and priced like premium].
Or
2] New gas with ethanol additives eating thru rubber parts in diaphragm.
So keep an eye on it.

Good advice, I had one that ruptured and pumped gas inside the crankcase, wiped out the bearings. Still ran good after a new fuel pump and oil change, but no oil pressure to speak of.
