Broken heater hose coupler extraction
I’m finally getting to hooking up the engine a year after bringing my truck home from the resto shop. I found the heater hose quick disconnect snapped. I have watched several videos to get an idea of how to proceed. Most of the videos show the Lisle 62200 removal tool. There is also a Napa version that looks more square peg shaped, and a tool that looks like a screw extractor. I’m considering trying the screw extractor. The other tools require pounding it in and from the videos it looks like the brittle coupler piece partially disintegrates from the hammering. Does anyone have any experience with any of these extractors?
