I joined the club
Had no intentions of owning a Suburban, was more a Truck and Blazer guy, but this thing popped up on an online auction and I thought the deal was good enough, so I went ahead and bought it.
It runs and drives, but needs some work to be a daily beater. Brake booster, something clicks in the column when you turn one way. Plans are to tidy everything up and fix it up slowly while not tearing it all the way down. Plans - new springs, rear is broken. 1 tow hook, not on the SPID but it came with one so I already purchased one. Wheels and tires, I'm going with steelies and caps with 33s. Interior, front seats look like car buckets, 2nd seat is factory. I have a front bench I can put on it, but I'd like a factory 3rd row. For now I have a line on a full set of suburban seats from a 98 so I'll likely run those for a while. Once I get all that done, I'll likely spray it in black primer and tint the windows and just roll with it for a while. Fix the rust as I can. Here are a few pics. I have to keep telling my wife, you can't put a price on cool.
