Boyds Welding Fuel Tank

I have this tank installed on my 66.
I am confused on the the 1/2 inch NPT vent. This is the rollover vent I think.
The other port 5/8 inch is for a vacuum canister.

I am installing a remote fill on the bed fender. See photo what i was planning. So should my remote fill have a port added then run a hose from that to the 1/2 inch brass fitting??

Regarding the 5/8 port; i dont plan on running a vacuum canister unless i have to; so just plug that port??
