Upgrading Slider Window - Keep SS Trim or not?
So I finally found myself an aluminum sliding window down in Houston for a $150.00. Plans are to make the drive down on Saturday to pick it up. The seller has a 72 C20 that was Blue and repainted it White, then ended up replacing the aluminum one with a new black one. His truck's SPID was missing and doesn't know it the slider is factory or not. Later this evening he'll be sending me an inside photo but from the outside it appears in good shape. He says he wouldn't have replaced it if he didn't like the black one he saw on another truck better.
So, I have a Cheyenne with SS Trim on the back solid window. I know I can get a seal that can either allow me to keep/reuse my trim or not. I assume everyones recommendation is to get Precision seal. The running consensus is from the factory SS Trim was no installed with Sliders (only perhaps from the dealer or post sell add-ons). So, I am throwing this up as a poll to see what you peeps think - keep the SS Trim with the Slider or not? Love to see good photos of SS Trim and the aluminum sliding window for those that voted yes ;-)
