From what I've measured on mine, steering shaft interference is directly related to the amount of the notch.
Although in the mags it was listed as a 1.5" notch, I've learned that Turners kits were(are) based on a 1.25" notch. In the articles, they made no mention of any issues w/upper a-arm/steer shaft interference. I 'whacked' 1.5" out of mine & the tape-measure says there will be interference w/the stock steering stuff. I haven't swapped it in yet so I'm not 100% but if I was betting . . . ..... I'm waiting (still....) to see what the AirRide control arms look like & see if they'll offer any more clearance.
