4.3/700R4/Atlas into Scout 800 Question

I have a 67 Scout 800 that now has the stock 4 cyl and 4 speed. I'm useing 315-75-16's (95 lb's per tire and wheel) and this sucks all the power from the little 100 hp engine. I have a good 4.3 and 700R4 out of an Astro van. I would like to install it into the Scout. The problem is the transfer case. The 208 and 205's are too big for this unit. The Dana 300 or the Atlas are more compact and seem to be a better choice. What combination of adapters/tail shafts will I need? Give me some pos and cons on these two transfercases. Thanks
