Don't let this happen to you...

Just wanted to share this so nobody else is chasing their tail trying to figure this out. I took the truck out yesterday for a drive. All of a sudden it sputtered,i hit the gas , and died. I thought the alternator the gone bad and that the truck just drained the battery until It had no juice left. I tried to restart the truck, nothing. I turned the lights on and got to see if they were on...nothing. had it towed home. Today I figured out that there was a bad connection where the engine harness connector went into the connector near the brake booster mounted in the upper left-hand corner of the firewall. The main power coming from the battery goes through that connector and into the truck which distributes power throughout the electrical system. I cleaned the connections with some detoxit which is a really good contact cleaner I use when fooling with guitars and guitar amps. Used a little Dielectric grease on the connectors as well and put it all back together, no issues, starts right up runs as it should.
