the brake light switch is usually activated by the brake pedal assembly under the steering column under the dash.
To adapt this switch ( https://www.summitracing.com/parts/aww-01998728 ) replace 2 side cover bolts with threaded rod and fasten a nut to keep cover plate tight. Then with the protruding threaded rod, place the switch plate on and secure with 2 more nuts. Then, make a rod (coat hanger) and attach to the reverse lever of the trans. I drilled a hole in mine and made a 'Z' shape in the rod to fit in the hole. (like a door latch rod in a door) Hope this helps.
