Now I buy these eggs from a place out by the family farm, diff shades of brown, green, and whites now and then. As free range as you can get. Few acres of chickens out roaming around eating bugs and who knows what else. No more store bought whities for me.

When I was a kid we had chickens and we weren't zoned to have them. But none of the neighbors complained. They all bought eggs from us. They were way better than store bought eggs. I wouldn't eat store bought eggs for years. They just weren't the same.

I saw a sign for fresh eggs by my house out in the sticks. I drove down the dirt road in my wife's little Fiat and pull into this place. There's a bunch of really rough looking bikers there and they don't look friendly. I told my buddy that I think we just made a wrong turn.

A big guy with a bald head, no shirt, covered in tattoo's walks up to us and asks what in the hell are we doing on his property. He wasn't happy.

I nervously ask. "Do you sell eggs?' I saw the sign.

Now everything changes. He's all friendly and tells me. "Oh no. It's the house 3 doors down on the right'. Those eggs are good.

So I thanked him and got the hell out of there fast. A lot of trouble for eggs but he was right. They were good eggs.

I bought duck eggs too. But they just tasted like eggs to me.
