I like them both. The 67 SBW would be the earlier build trucks if I had to guess. I have one im working on now. From what I've read the small window and the width of the pillars beside the window just made a blind spot in that area. In the later build trucks GM offered the larger back window as an option 'Panoramic rear glass' then as others have mentioned it became standard from 68 on up.

But I wouldn't say they look 'weird. Just not as common .. and different is good. Just an easy way to spot a 67 cab really. No different than the marker light differences.
