Possible to change Gauge Needles?

My new instrument cluster's fuel level gauge went bad. I have an old one (the original) that is good, but the needle is pretty much white. I was wondering if I could put the needle off of my bad gauge on the good gauge, and everything be good.

I know most needles are a pain to deal with, and just wanted to see what kind of response I got before I just tried. (Since I ain't gonna be trying until this evening).
