Turn Signal Lever Hard to Move

Evening everyone. Got an issue here that I can't seem to figure out.

I've got a 1984 C10. A few months back I noticed that my turn signal was getting harder and harder to move to the left and right to activate the turn signals. I replaced the turn signal switch in the column and it worked fine for a few weeks, and then the same thing started to happen again. I took everything apart and loosed up all the screws and then tightened them back down again. Same thing; worked great for awhile and then started happening again. This last time, I took it apart and used some dielectric grease on the moving parts thinking that maybe it just needed some lubrication. It's worked great for the past few weeks, but now it's doing the same thing again.

As a side note, I also replaced the wiper control switch at the same time (I'm blanking on the correct term for the part, but where the turn signal stock attaches inside the column).

Does anyone have any idea what's causing this and what I can do to fix it? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
