MATE black paint
i know, there are a ton of different threads on this but most are old...guessing the low clear paint jobs arent as popular anymore. while getting my glass back in my truck, i primed and painted the window frames to make painting the truck later a little easier. i used SEM hot rod black. lays down nice so far, but i do not like the sheen in it at all. im looking for something more flat, or matte. ive seen a few trucks on youtube that have the perfect color but they used rustoleum flat black, and im not sure if i should go that route. im looking for something cost effective, but that seems too cheap lol. but i dont know what others would have to say after having it on their truck for years.
my truck is not a show truck but i like to show it off. not looking for some ridiculous paint job, hoping to find something that doesnt hurt the wallet as much. preferably a single stage because i will likely be shooting this myself and i am not a paint and body guy. below is the type of sheen i am looking for, although that is a wrap. let me know what you guys have used or can point me in the right direction!
