Turbo 400 trans question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a turbo 400 trans I pulled from a 68 Caprice many moons ago. I will be putting together a 68 swb project with a 396 I have and want to use a turbo 400 with it.

Can anyone tell me if the trans from the Caprice is the same as a truck trans? Or are there differences in the length, linkage hookup, or other concerns/problems I would have in using this trans in the truck.

Once again thanks for any info or suggestions.....this board is the greatest.
