March 24 will be 39 years....
I bought my 71 C 10 in March of 85. The truck still has all the original sheet metal it came with from the factory and it's never been wrecked. I bought it from the 1st owner with 80,000 miles on it. It now has over 400,000.
Its on it's 4th paint job. It was Olive green & white when I first bought it and now it's Iroc RED/Viper red with Gun Metal grey bottom. I had it swapped over to this combo in 87 the first time I had it painted. The hood is a stock hood that I had louvered. The picture of it in red was a few months ago after having it ceramic coated. The last time it was painted was 2010 so that paint is 14 years old now. I just finished the driver side and spare wheels freshing them up today and will do the passenger side tomorrow. I cleaned them up good scotch padded them wipped them down and blew them dry good then repainted them. I started with Gun Metal base then silver flake with 3 coats of clear. Truck has a 6.0 with 4L80E running gear with 1 piece drive shaft, lowered with 3" springs and helper air bags in each coil spring. The Boss wheels are 20" on all 4 corners with 8" wide up front and 10" out back. Has 99 Tahoe bucket seats with 6 way electrtric and heated. Tach, full gauges with GPS speedometer, AC/heat and cruise control with resume.

It sucks not being able to hear! LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB! After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |
