Parking Brake Cable Routing

I'm working on installing the parking brake cable set up on my 70 C10 and am having issues and I believe my X pipe is the cause.
Rear brakes are disc and I got the rear cables from inline tube for disc brakes and when I put the intermediate cable on if I connect it to the guide rod and the front cable, I do not have enough cable to attach to the frame rails on each side. I have tried routing it in the next to where the exhaust goes through the cross member and between the cross member and the frame.

I'm thinking by adding the through the cross member supports for the exhaust and the X pipe on the front side of them, I screwed up the routing of the parking brake cable. I have double checked all the parts and the are for use with a TH400.
What am I missing or doing wrong?
Thanks
