Ignition switch help, please.

I lost my key to the project truck I am working on. A local locksmith said
that he can make a key for me if I bring in the the ignition switch. Herein
lies the problem that I am having. I have unscrewed the bezel on the switch
but I can't get it to come all the way off. It just continues to turn but won't
release from the switch. I feel so stupid asking this but how do I remove the ignition switch? I don't want to damage the switch, bezel, etc. by prying on it. Any help with this problem would be highly appreciated. Thanks
