Axle shaft help
I have a 72 Super Cheyenne K20 that I am rebuilding right now (link to build thread). The front Dana 44 axle shafts are both broken where the u-joint attaches on the passenger side. I am getting ready to replace them in the next week or so. I read somewhere on the forum that it is possible to use the 1973 and up axle shafts which gives you a little beefer u-joint. Can anyone steer me in the right direction on the subject, explain their experience, or a link if possible?
Again I have searched like crazy and keep coming up with nothing. Just want to verify if that is a possible fix or not. Thanks for any help possible Here is image of broken axle shaft
