pace edwards jackrabbit on older paint

Guys,

My trucks been off the road for a couple of years, but i recently got it back on road, 71 ochre c10. I forgot how much i love driving the thing. So much, that i started thinking i should drive it a lot more.

One reason i dont drive it more often is because i dont have locking storage. Would be nice to lock up groceries, expensive car parts, guns etc.

The pace edwards jackrabbit seems to fit the bill. But, from pictures, its always shown on new shiny paint with 24" wheels. My truck is original yellow paint that does buff up nice, but its thin in places, some dents etc. It isnt a show truck.

Would the brand new shiny pace edwards look out of place on my truck? All the patina is just perfect. id hate to ruin that look with something so nice and "new." just thinking out loud here.

Soft covers might look more retro, but they dont have the security im looking for.

What are your thoughts?

thanks
