Experiences with Repop Comfort Steering Wheels

Bought and just received a comfort steering wheel from Summit. Material quality looks good. However, where the overmold line forms over the metal ring on the outside dia of the wheel, the fit is off. The over mold is actually larger than the metal, so the metal is recessed some what. Is this common? Or should I be talking to summit about this? What are you guys seeing on yours? Does the overmold compress down over time? Kind of hard to see. Just worried it will be uncomfortable.

Bad picture but this is the section I am talking about.
