'90 door panels into '96

has anybody tried putting '90 door panels and pw and pdl into a '96?
after driving my new to me '96, i hate the manual window cranks, there so darn low on the door the only way i can roll down the pass window is to stop the truck and reach waaaay over and down.
i have put '81 up door panels on '80 down doors with minor mods, wondering if it would be the same with the gmt 400's.
i would go outside and check, but i'm currently 350 miles from home 1 week into a 7 week out of town job.
my '90 is the first truck i ever owned with pw/pdl and i guess i kinda got spoiled by them
