Guadalupe Mountains

I just got back from New Mexico. I went down there earlier this week to visit my stepson and his wife. I helped him do some flooring in his house Wednesday.
Thursday we went to the Guadalupe Mountains and hiked up to the peak. We got some really nice views. An especially cool view of El Capitan and the Chihuanuan Desert.
The peak is over 8700 feet above sea level.
My watches data said it was 3200 feet of ascent.
