1972 SWB Highlander

Tossing around the idea of selling my 1972 C10 swb Highlander truck. The truck was bought new in Kernersville, NC and lived in that area its entire life. I have the original window sticker, protect-o-plate, and invoice to support the history. I purchased the truck about 3 years ago from the second owner with plans to restore it to the factory condition but I have too many irons in the fire right now.

The truck was an original YG6 promotional package A truck so it didnt come with the AC, tilt wheel, etc. that some Highlanders have. The SPID also calls for 618 Custom Trim which I am told means orange plaid seat in a factory olive and white truck.

It has a 350 sbc in it now that runs and drives. I believe the engine has been changed out and is not the correct original drivetrain for the truck. The trans is a granny 3 speed with a floor shifter, again not factory.

The hood and RF fender were replaced at some point but they found rust free junkyard sheet metal which is in great shape. The door bottoms have a little bit of crust but they are plenty fixable. Bed sides are actually really nice but there are a couple of rust spots on the bed floor that would easily fix. The cab needs some love, especially around the drip rails. It looks like someone slapped some bondo in the seem and it held water and is starting to rust. The inside of the windshield area is nice and the cab floor is actually decent compared to most.

Overall it is a cool little truck and fairly scarce being a documented swb highlander. You could easily do some work to it as it sits and drive it around or dive into a full restoration on it, either way you cant go wrong.

Located in Asheville, NC. Willing to help arrange shipping or meet somewhere to deliver if needed.

Thanks for the interest!
