Rub, Rub, Buff, Buff

I've been trying to shine the grill shell on my 69 C10 P/U.
I've used a number of different aluminum polishes, including
Blue Magic. The BM does a decent job but the milky look comes back
after a few minutes. Someone told me that its the anodizing
on the aluminum that is causing the milky look. Tried some
Easy Off oven cleaner on it but that didn't seem to budge
this stuff.

Anybody got any recommendations on how to get the aluminum
clean, so it can be polished up?
