1970 Only Oil Fill tube K5, K10, K20
Well...always learning on this site. Got schooled the other day which means I'm back on the hunt for a hard to find. Turns out some 1970 K trucks with power brakes (and probably A/C too) had a first gen oil fill tube that was different from the 71-72 tube. It was part number 3929746. It screwed into the valve cover and had a metal four nub screw on oil fill cap. It had a separate stabilizer bracket assembly.
I am restoring a 1970 K20 with power brakes and A/C. I need the tube, cap, bracket and hardware....So I'm casting the biggest net I can. If you got one and are willing to sell, great! If you've got one on a truck...I'd even go so far as to get you a 71-72 version with hardware to replace your 1970 version (if you'd be willing to take it off). Hey...I've got some NOS spares, maybe I've got something you can use and you'd rather trade. Open to making something work. Thanks to anyone who knows where this needle in a haystack is and can help. Brad
