The new column seems like a nice piece so far. I still need to get a Steering wheel too. I was going to go the same route of rebuilding my old one, but once into disassembly, I saw it would just be nice to have a tilt along with all new plastic pieces, bearing and electrical connections. I'm just going to leave it black
