Greetings
My name is Nathan and I have lurked for answers for quite a while. Tried to join for months and never got an approval so I finally paid the $25 and here I am. At almost 52 years old this has been a lifelong dream of mine. My Grandfather had a 1969 C20 in the '70's and would pull up every Friday night and I associated that truck with him. She was paint code 525 Saddle with a white top. In fact when I was a bit older I told him I wanted to buy it from him. As time went on he sold it and I was bummed, but that's how it was. He was the only man that ever paid any attention to me as my dad wanted nothing to do with me. Pop pop even stopped my dad from punching me one time. He meant the world to me. In '87 my Grandmother suddenly passed and he went quietly not even a year later in '88. Sometime in the early '90's I was able to track the old C20 down in Delaware but they wouldn't sell it to me. I was devastated. So I vowed in my early 20's that I would find one and create a facsimile of the truck. I started in March of this year (2024) as I am not getting any younger. I have learned much about the truck and still have plenty to go. My base is a 1970 Custom 10, and have learned alot from this place thus far so thank you all for that. Previously before I thought I would have the truck, I also built a model of it out of a 1972 AMT Coke kit.
