53' GMC 3 on the tree help

Hi Team i am in the process to fix a 53 Longbed GMC truck with a GMC 228 engine.
We opted for a CLIFFORD intake with headers and a Weber 38 carb for a bit more performance.
The truck spend his last years in PAINTJAIL , the painter disassembled the Truck and now i piece the Puzzle together .

the Engine is running, It has New wiring, got converted to Throttle cable and i am in the process of putting the Clifford kit on it.

As expected i run into issues with the Shifter
1st issue the shifter was disconnected so i am trying to figure out the linkages.

i would like to find a diagram and how to correctly position the Shift lever on the steering wheel.
I can also see that the linkages on the Steering shaft will hit the Clifford intake.
How have you guys solved this?
We already considered a Floor Shifter?< if so what floor shifter do you recommend?

Further the CLUTCH PEDALK LINKAGE to the trans was disconnected .
DO you have any pics of the correct Linkage that i might have in all the Parts bins that came with the truck?

if not whats a good replacement part.

please see some pics attached

i am located in DFW TX
