Suburban Lowering
I have found it impossible to get a straight answer on the net for lowering a Suburban. I’ve read most of the threads on here with no definitive answer. I’ve called and talked to Western Chassis as well.
I have a R1500 1989 Suburban, I’ve leaved that just searching for an 87 is easier so that Google doesn’t get confused with OBS trucks. My goal was to do something in the realm of a 2/4 drop. My head thought a 2” drop spindle and a 4” drop leaf spring. The lead spring is what is baffling me. Western Chassis has a leaf spring listing (56”) that they list for a C30 Suburban, which to my knowledge does not exist. What are the parts some of you have used and what crosses over to the trucks? Lots of hanger/shackle kits for trucks that do 4” but I see nothing for the Burban. Seems like these trucks are forgotten in the aftermarket world. When I talked to Western Chassis they were luke warm with knowledge at best. I have an 89 Chevy and 89 GMC. Chevy is dumped they cut the springs and took out leaves in the back. Rides okay but just not looking to go that low with the GMC. Last edited by JoePolo; Today at 12:19 AM. Reason: Adding a photo |
