So a bit more than 25 years ago I bought my first older truck, my 1969 K20. It was a farmer's truck and in great shape. Original except for a cable the farmer had installed under the truck from the rear frame to the front bumper apparently to pull stumps. It had the mighty 307, 3 on the tree mated to a Rockwell T221 and stump pulling 4.56 gears and a factory No Spin in the rear axle.

In the winter I found the three on the tree would lock up and one day I was searching the internet for help. Ya got to remember 25 years ago there were not a lot of sites yet that were worth a darn.

Anyway, I found this website and help for my three on the tree issue. As I started to learn more about my truck I started posting a lot here, especially when I did the initial 4" lift.

25 years ago I registered for this site. I actually think this was the second time I registered as the board either changed software or there was a crash or something and new accounts had to be made.

But anyway, I've learned so much from this board and members so thanks for that!

Here's a pic of my 69 K20 when I got it, after doing a lot of work to it, and also a pick of my 1970 K5.
