steering issue

I have a 65 front x member on my 62 that was installed when I bought the truck. I have 2" lowering springs ant 2" drop spindles. I had the truck aliened, and it feels like when turning the truck wants to dart in that direction. I went back and measured everything on the front end and noticed the pitman arm is 5" and the idler arm is 6". I have found a 5" idler arm from Moog and was wondering if this would correct the problem. Has anyone else has had this issue and how did you solve it. I am trying not to throw too many parts at this and cause a larger problem.
