Seat Recovering Tips and Foam Source?

hi guys,

Just received my new seat cover from SMS Auto Fabrics. It took about 10 weeks to get it from the time of order, and the quality is superb. I still have the original, and the fabric and embossing is a direct match. I had all but given up on finding a proper replacement for the original red seat cover (I think that was a 69-only color?), and stumbled on another post that pointed me to SMS.

Now for the fun part. I've seen many, many posts about replacement foam being too tall, and your head is almost to the top of the cab. I'm 6'1", so I'm a little concerned about that. My foam is still in really good shape from the resto the PO did about 25 years ago, but I'd prefer to put new foam in to avoid regretting it later. Does anyone have a source they were happy with?

Also - any general tips on recovering these seats? I have hog ring and new clips. When I did another car, I actually ended up using zip ties to cinch everything down and then hog ringed it for good measure. I'm thinking of using the same approach here. Anything else I should be thinking about?
